Boarding and Riding Lesson Rates

- Self Care Field Boarding-includes paddock with run-in/barn, $175/month. Owner is responsible for daily feeding and all care of horse. Paddocks are 1-2½ acres each, are will be shared by no more than two compatible horses.
- Hay, grain and water, $75/month. Only Lespedeza, Timothy and/or other high quality hays are used. Horses are given up to ½ bales per day and provided up to 16oz of pellet or sweet feed each day, per owner’s instructions.
- Exercise, $50/month. Includes 1/2 30 minute training and exercise activities per week (riding, lunging, walking per owner’s instructions.
- Washing, $15/activity. Per owner’s direction.
- Blanketing, $15/month. Per owner’s direction. Owner provides blanket.
- Ferrier services: Ferrier service costs are to be borne by owner and conducted at owner’s request. Scheduling, preparation, and attending horse, $25/activity.
- Veterinary services: Veterinarian service costs are to be entirely borne by the owner and are scheduled and conducted at owner’s request. (Stable management will notify owner at earliest sign of problem.)
- Beginner riding lessons: $35/ ½ hour individual lesson. $25/ ½ hour group lesson.
Notes: All owners ride at their own risk and may utilize the riding arena, when lessons are not being given. (A schedule will be regularly published.) If there are other questions, please ask. For boarded horses, owners are required to have proof of a current Coggins, and be up to date on all required shots.
Maizemoor Stables visitor hours: Weekdays-4:00 PM until dusk, Saturday-9:00 AM until dusk, Sunday-2:00 PM until dusk.
